Stop and enjoy Horseshoe Canyon, walk among the Hoodoos, and enjoy an Underground Tunnel or Tipple Tour* (a structure used to load product for transport) at the Atlas Coal Mine. Next, walk on the old Suspension Bridge that many a miner has crossed! And of course there are the dinosaurs! Enjoy the Royal Tyrrell Museum, Canada’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the science of paleontology. Travel on one of our climate controlled vehicles and take in some of the history of this area as our driver/guide takes you on a journey through time.
*Tour availability based on schedule provided by the Atlas Coal Mine. Due to time/staff constraints, some options may become unavailable.
Please note: Be aware that this tour requires you to bring comfortable, sturdy shoes suitable for the amount of walking you will be doing on the tour. Closed-toed shoes are advised, specifically for your time at the Atlas Coal Mine. Check on the weather in advance and dress appropriately to guard yourself from the sun or in case of bad weather.

We will depart Calgary at 7:30 am from the Calgary Tower and will arrive back at approximately 6:15 pm. Admissions and GST are all included in the tour price. Driver gratuity not included.
Seating is limited to the first 12 passengers. Reserve your seats by purchasing your tickets online. The tour requires a minimum of 4 passengers to run, when you book with us, your card will not be charged until we reach 4 passengers. You will receive an email notifying you when we have met the minimum requirement and the tour is running. At this time, your card will be charged.
